Have lunch in picturesque whalers town De Rijp and continue through the Beemster Polder(reclaimed in 1612 and 15 feet below sea level) to cheese town Edam to sample all the varieties of Dutch cheese.

Next stop is Volendam, souvenir haven from where you'll take the boat to Marken, former island, where the 1800 inhabitants live in tiny wooden houses. From Volendam, you will be picked up from the dock for your return journey to Amsterdam.

Rene will introduce you to the historic garden and the history of the tulips and you can marvel for a couple of hours at the millions of flowers you’ll get to see.
