Travel through the Beemster polder which was reclaimed 400 years ago, to the old whalers town of De Rijp where you will have lunch, after which go on a journey to the windmills of the Schermerhorn Polder that have been pumping here for 400 years (Open from May 1-November 1). Climb the steep staircases of the 400 year old mills and taste cheese in Edam on our way back.

Spend your day in Amsterdam, walking, by car and by boat to see the town and get to know its history which for a big part was defined by the Jewish population that has lived here for centuries. Visit the Jewish Quarter, its huge Synagoge, built in 1674, Anne Frank’s house and a guided tour in the Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh Museum. This experience will give you a better understanding and appreciation of Amsterdam and its history.
