How can you be a host to Lokal Amico?

  • You can check the details here. Once you have been accepted as a Host, you will also be receiving an email from Lokal Amico team containing the “Lokal Amico Host Terms of Service”; that you would need to understand and agree to proceed.

  • Once done, you will receive an email containing a link to the “Become an Amico” online form. Please fill out and provide details about yourself and your online adventure.

  • The Lokal Amico team will review your submission and will get back to you within 3 working days to provide comments or ask for additional information needed to build your profile and adventure page.

  • Once done, the draft experience page will be shared with you for sign off before publishing.

  • To be an effective host, interaction with the guests is important. For the best practices and tips to be a great Host online, please refer to the Code of Conduct from Lokal Amico.

  • Lokal Amico team will share with you feedback received from the guests.

How will the hosts be notified of bookings and how will the hosts get paid?

Once your application is approved, we will send you the “Lokal Amico Host Terms of Service”, which encompasses all information regarding Booking and Payments.

What if the host cancels the scheduled adventure?

How does one book and join an experience?

Can I apply for a refund?

Refunds only apply when the Host cancels an experience or if the Guest cancels at least 7 days to the start of your experience. For Guest cancellation, please refer to our Cancellation Policy.

Who can I contact if I have any issues or complaints?

  • We’ll assist you in case of issues or complaints where possible. In case of a complaint about, or issue with the platform, please contact Lokal Amico SRL at askus@lokalamico.com to resolve the problem.

  • In case of a complaint, please contact Lokal Amico SRL within 24 hours after the complaint has arisen and you agree to cooperate with and assist Lokal Amico SRL in good faith by providing needed information and actions as may be reasonably requested by Lokal Amico SRL. Any claim or complaint against Lokal Amico SRL in respect of the service must be promptly submitted, but in any event within 14 days after the booked experience has taken place. Any claim or complaint that is submitted after the 14 days period, may be rejected and the claimant shall forfeit his/her right to any (damage or cost) compensation.

  • As a Guest, you understand that in case of a no-show, interruptions, or non-completion of the experiences caused by you, you as a Guest are responsible for any damages up to the amount paid. In case of any damage claims or other complaints related to the experiences exceeding the amount paid, Lokal Amico SRL will mediate in finding a reasonable solution between the Host and Guest.

  • Except as otherwise set forth in these Terms, these Terms shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, excluding any rules on conflict of laws (the „Applicable Law”). Any dispute, conflict or controversy, howsoever arising out of or broadly in connection with or relating to these Terms, including those relating to its validity, its construction, or its enforceability, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bucharest, Romania.

What happens if guests don’t show up for the scheduled experience?

As we are offering well-curated experiences, the Lokal Amico team and the hosts take time to prepare each experience for the guests. We recognise the efforts and preparation our Hosts put in their experiences. Therefore, we do not tolerate no-shows. For more information, refer to our No-show policy.
