How to Host Adventures

  • Once you have been accepted as a Host, you will also be receiving an email from Lokal Amico team containing the “Lokal Amico Host Terms of Service”; that you would need to understand and agree to proceed.

  • Once done, you will receive an email containing a link to the “Become an Amico” online form. Please fill out and provide details about yourself and your online adventure.

  • The Lokal Amico team will review your submission and will get back to you within 3 working days to provide comments or ask for additional information needed to build your profile and adventure page.

  • Once done, the draft experience page will be shared with you for sign off before publishing.

  • The Lokal Amico team will also connect with you regarding payment terms and schedule.

  • To be an effective host, interaction with the guests are important. For the best practices and tips to be a great Host, please refer to the Code of Conduct.

  • Lokal Amico team will also share with you feedback received from the guests.

Booking and Payments

Cancellation Policy for Hosts

Local experiences:

If the Host cancels a confirmed booking, the host need to let Lokal Amico team know as soon as possible. For cancelled local experiences, the host will not receive any payment.

Online experiences:

  • If the Host will not be able to make it to the scheduled experience due to circumstances beyond his/her control, they need to let Lokal Amico team know 72 hours prior to the scheduled experiences. Guests will receive an email from Lokal Amico for the new schedule of their experience.

  • For less than 72 hours, guests will have the options to:

    • rebook the same adventure on another date; or

    • get a refund. If the guests opt to refund, the host will not be paid.

  • If it’s less than 24 hours, the guest will receive a 100% refund. The host will not be paid and will be considered one strike. The host is only be allowed three strikes for cancellation notices in less than 24 hours. After which, Lokal Amico will deliberate to terminate engagement with the host.

Force Majeure

“Force Majeure” means, in relation to Lokal Amico SRL, any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Lokal Amico SRL, including, but without limitation: acts of God, explosion, flood, tempest, forceful wind, fire or accident, war or threat of war declared or undeclared, acts of terrorism, sabotage, insurrection, riots, strikes, civil disturbance, requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions, defects in machinery and vehicles, delay, wildlife, or other untoward occurrences.

We will not be liable, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of our obligations hereunder to the extent that they occur due to any Force Majeure.

If Lokal Amico SRL, and/or any of its Hosts, are affected by Force Majeure, they can reschedule or cancel the virtual tour assignments/online adventures/in-person tour assignments/local experiences. Payment of any refund shall remain in our discretion, although we shall use our reasonable efforts to reimburse you where possible. However, we shall be entitled to deduct from any refund recoverable the expenses and administration costs incurred by Lokal Amico SRL for the virtual tour assignments/in-person tour assignments.
