You will experience:

Explore two of the most vibrant neighbourhoods located in the heart of the eternal city: the Jewish quarter and Trastevere. Your expert guide will tell you... everything about the century-old history of the Jewish community in Rome and their amazing contribution to the local cuisine as you wander through the narrow streets of the ghetto.

Stroll over to Tiber Island, a tiny island in Rome, and cross the river to Trastevere. Trastevere is a charming medieval neighbourhood with a fiery temperament. Enjoy the breath-taking mosaics in one of the most fascinating churches built during the Early Christianity, probably the first one dedicated to Mother Mary: the Basilica of Our Lady in Trastevere. Go up the Janiculum hill, where you will enjoy a stunning view of the eternal city and learn everything about Bramante’s Tempietto, a masterpiece of Renaissance art.

Why book this local experience?

This experience will take you away from the crowds to a more hidden corner of Rome. The Jewish Quarter will show you one of the oldest, continually surviving Jewish communities outside the Holy Land. Visiting Trastevere (which means Across the Tiber - “Tras” for across and “Tevere” for Tiber) will lead you to an enchanting place filled with old-world cobbled lanes, terracotta-hued and ivy-clad houses and boho vibe. This place is for your Instagram-worthy shots where wandering down the side streets is rewarded with picturesque spots. On top of that, there are good local restaurants for the foodies and shops for shopping.
