HOST VERIFICATION

Team Lokal Amico works best with hosts that we can trust and consider as family. Before becoming a host, we ask our potential hosts to authenticate and verify the information they have provided. We also engage them in screening activities.

Phone and Email Verification

Verified and confirmed contact information are used by Team Lokal Amico solely to communicate about bookings and other concerns regarding our adventures. Hosts are required to confirm their information, read our Lokal Amico handbook and agree to our terms before their adventure pages and individual profiles are launched. Verified phone number and a verified email of the hosts are important both for Lokal Amico and the guests for booking confirmation.

Identity Verification

Team Lokal Amico checks that people are who they say they are by confirming identity information. We review government-issued documents like government ID, passport or national identity card. We also check business registration certificates for hosts representing a local business or are engaging us on behalf of a local business. Rest assured that we consult closely with our legal team to ensure that how we handle the data of our hosts is compliant to the GPDR (General Data Protection Regulation).

The verification process conducted by Lokal Amico is applicable to all hosts except for certain situations where we may need further verification. Our processes may also evolve over time.
