You will experience:
From the Romans to the modern era, the city of Barcelona has been a place where social and artistic vanguardism have left their mark and has made this city one of the most visited places worldwide. Many stories are concentrated in one of it most important points: the Gothic Quarter. We will start at Las Ramblas, a site known by many but just few recognize its history. Then we will enter the narrow streets to hear the stories that these walls and monuments have to tell.... Travel to the past with Lokal Amico and walk through the cobbled streets to the Jewish Quarter where you will learn the importance of the 13th century for this religious community. Take a look at one of the oldest synagogues in Europe that was rediscovered in 1997. You will also put on Pablo Picasso's shoes and go through the sites that made his work the manifesto of one of the most important artistic genres of modern art: cubism!
Along the way, we will visit the most important square of Catalunya: Plaza Sant Jaume where we will know what Romans, Muslims, writers, politicians and even "dragons" have to do with the current Catalan culture. Gaurded with gargoyles, we will pass through Sant Felip Neri, a hidden gem built on a Gothic cemetery with a history you can never forget. Discover this and other emblematic points of the Gothic Quarter.
